Common Misunderstandings and Clarifications of Membrane Water Treatment Systems
1、 Operational complexity and automation level
Many people think that membrane water treatment systems are complex to operate, but this is not the case. The system is highly automated, with the PLC system responsible for performing operations such as start stop, dosing, and online flushing, achieving unmanned operation. Manual inspection and periodic maintenance and cleaning are only required, without the need for additional operators. The routine cleaning and maintenance training of membranes is simple and easy to learn, and the difficulty is much lower than that of biochemical systems.
2、 High investment and maintenance costs
Some people believe that membrane water treatment systems have high investment and maintenance costs. However, in reality, with the development of domestic membrane manufacturing enterprises, the price of membranes has significantly decreased. Adopting MBR membrane system not only saves construction and land occupation costs, but also reduces sludge volume and sludge disposal costs, with high comprehensive cost-effectiveness. For UF and RO systems, the economic benefits generated by the recycling and reuse of sewage resources far exceed the equipment investment. The depreciation cost of the membrane is generally lower, even lower than the cost of adding chemicals.
